What We Offer

Our Ethos

Recognising Wholeness

Homunculus House is a space to find resources and services that support you in receiving care and guidance in a therapeutic way.

Homunculus is a part of the head brain that holds a map of the body. A little you inside you. Mindfulness and somatic practices activate the homunculus. We feel emotions in our bodies, prompting body awareness can support contact with feelings and processes. Our aim is to encourage whole body connection through mind-body awareness and deep compassionate understanding

A Relational Approach

We believe that change is a nonlinear and co-relational process. We need each other, including the natural world, to move towards a healthy and balanced wellbeing. Co-regulation is a very real thing and often in western individualistic society we are conditioned to work things out alone which just creates more isolation and pain. Here, we focus on building relationships and community support as one of the main resources for sustainable wellbeing. We offer individual, relationship and group therapy online and in person. We also deliver workshops and trainings based around mindfulness and somatic practices to promote care and deepen connections inwardly and outwardly.

  • Mykah has helped us open up our communication, see each other from a compassionate lens and navigate difficulty in our relationship with grace. We’re not sure if we would have made it this far without Mykah’s support and gentle challenges

    L & A

  • "There was a power just in knowing this space existed for me to show up, as I am. Mykah held our group container with safety, professionalism, compassion and of course, queerness. The act of listening, and to speak in the presence of our all-queer group was the journey I needed. I explored, I took risks, I felt heard and my heart opened."

    -RJ

  • " I had a transformative and emotional time participating in group therapy, which was facilitated organically and respectfully by Mykah. The relaxed environment allowed for people to open up and I really felt at peace in these sessions."
